Wasp & Hornet Control

Wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets build nests in eaves, soffits, sheds, ground holes, and inside walls. Treatment depends on the species and where the nest is. For honey bees — which are protected — we don't treat them; we coordinate with a local beekeeper for live removal whenever possible.

Signs you might have a problem

  • Paper wasp nests under eaves or in doorways
  • Bald-faced hornet nests in trees or shrubs (gray, football-shaped)
  • Yellow jackets entering a small hole in the ground, siding, or soffit
  • Bees clustering at one spot on a wall (often inside a wall void)

Our approach

  1. 1Identification — different species need different treatments and timing
  2. 2Treatment of the nest from a safe distance, typically at dusk
  3. 3Removal or sealing of the nest void after activity stops
  4. 4Honey bees: coordination with a beekeeper for live relocation

Common questions

What if I'm not sure whether they're bees or wasps?
Send us a photo — we'll identify before we come out. We don't kill honey bees, so we want to make sure.
Can I knock the nest down myself?
Strongly recommend against it. Disturbing a nest is when most stings happen, and yellow jackets in particular get aggressive fast. Let us treat first, then the empty nest can come down safely.
